Automatic Article Submitter Review

Overview
Automatic Article Submitter is written by Milan Kosanovic (did I spell that right?) and endorsed by some of the top article marketers, and there is a good reason for that. In a nutshell Automatic Article Submitter has all the features an article marketer could need or want out of an article submission tool. It allows you to be as automated as you want, yet also allows you do things manually, for best results you will want to do a combination of both. You aren’t ever going to find 100% automatic unless you just pay somebody else to do it, but this is close. It boast’s a very large list of article directory’s, but the greatest feature is that you can actually add your own directory’s, sites, blogs etc to the list of submission sites, and that is hot!
Spin Away
Spinning your articles is by far one of the most important steps to successful and scalable article marketing. While many of today’s submitters separate the submitting and spinning into two pieces of software, Automatic Article Submitter has an extremely powerful and robust article spinner built right into it. If you are comfortable with writing your own spun articles, or you purchase spun articles you can simply cut and paste the spun content with the proper syntax right in. But for people that have a hard time creating spun content, or simply cant understand the syntax, AAS has a wonderful plug and play feature available as well. You can select your words right within the article writing section and utilize the built in thesaurus to automatically have AAS make suggestion’s and place the spun variations into the content with all of the proper syntax already in place. This really makes it seamless and simple for seasoned article writers and newbies alike. You can spin the title, the body and the resource box as you can with most software. Once you are finished with your article spinning there is a feature that allows you to view the finished spun article, you can keep re-spinning it to see what multiple versions would look like. You also get keyword density and word count right from this page to make sure you are within specs. There is also a great feature that allows you export unique copies of your completed article, and AAS allows you to select how many copies you want. This comes in very handy in case you need a few original copies for your blog, website, squidoo, hubpages, etc.
Other Features
I was able to create a pen name super fast, and in fact created many of them, and I am not sure if there is a limit, but there certainly doesn’t appear to be. I was able to mass register at well over 100 sites, and with many of the sites I was able to view the validation messages from within AAS without having to leave the software. There is a very large database of article directory’s to choose from, It looked to be about 300, and one feature I enjoyed is that I could create my own custom groupings of article directory’s. For instance I don’t like to submit to 100’s of directory’s I prefer to submit to a smaller subset of top sites. AAS allows me to create groupings of directory’s as I desire, which is an awesome feature, and I have not seen anyone else do that yet. Another incredible feature is that you can add your own wordpress.com and blogger sites to the list of directories within Automatic Article Submitter, along with other directory’s that may not listed.
One more item to note, the software does get upgraded by Milan, and it does so automatically when you open it. I have used other software in the past that each time there was an update I had remove and reinstall and mess with licenses keys etc. This software was written very well, and great care was taken with it. I cant speak for customer support, because I had no reason to use them, but I know Milan is not hard to find in various forums etc.
The Results
After completing all the steps, (that were outlined in great detail via text and videos, I was impressed with instructions) pen name creation, account creation, directory grouping, and article creation the submission went off. I submitted to a small subset of sites for this test. And I did have a couple errors, and they were mostly user error indeed. I forgot to select categories for the directory’s. So what happened was the job stayed queued and I was able to fix the category and resubmit, so it was actually a good thing I messed up to see how that worked. I did receive a few errors that were unrelated to just category and I was able to manually submit to the problem directory’s from within AAS.
What We Don’t Like About Automatic Article Submitter
Automatic Article Submitter is a downloadable application that runs from your desktop. While some may like this feature, I prefer hosted applications so I can get to it from wherever, and also so I can have multiple VA’s access it as well from where ever they are. However this may not be the case for most people, and in fact lots of people prefer a desktop application. Due to the fact that it runs on my pc, and I use a laptop and am mobile most of the time my having the software on my laptop hindered my ability to schedule the distribution of the articles. But for some that may not be a problem, it’s all about personal preference and your requirements.
I found the interface cumbersome at first, but after using it for 2 article submissions, I quickly became more accustomed to it, and could see that everything was setup the way it needed to be. I have no doubt that if I started using AAS on a regular daily basis the interface would become second nature in no time, like most software. This isn’t so much something I don’t like, but something I didn’t like, and quickly grew to tolerate.
It’s actually a pretty good sign that what I didn’t like is pretty minor and a testament to how good this software actually is.
Pricing
Automatic Article Submitter is extremely reasonable at just $97, and in my opinion worth much more than that. The key here is that this is a one time cost. And while I personally prefer hosted applications as opposed to software I run on my PC, I also pay monthly fees for those hosted applications. And for anyone just starting out with article marketing, a one time fee vs a monthly fee could be very important and a deciding factor. So I give AAS a very high thumbs up if you are looking for no monthlies and a desktop application that is feature rich and actually works as promised, you cant go wrong with AAS.

I have been using this product for about 4 months, it submits to the top directories which is key for me. Many of the other submitter’s don’t do that, even Ezine’s! That’s why I got it in the first place. I found the interface kind of cumbersome to use at first, but after a few submissions I can now say I am comfortable with it. I would recommend it, also it’s a one time payment vs a monthly which is HUGE for me – I hate monthlies!

Hi, I’m the author of this software and I just found your review by accident. Thank you very much for a genuine review.
I have the version 3 of Automatic Article Submitter coming in weeks time. The biggest improvement will be 100% captcha (image verification) solving. A network of hundreds of people available 24 hours a day will read image verifications. The program send them an image and gets the read word in return. This will make the program much more automated.

Hi,
I was thinking of buying The Best Spinner, seems to be the one to get, and I was also looking to get a article submitter as well.
Automatic Article Submitter looks good going by the reviews, so my question is…
If AAS has a built in spinner do I really need to buy the Best Spinner?
On May 23, 2010 admin wrote:
Hi Howard,
To answer your question, in short no – you don’t need TBS if you are buying AAS. If you are simply writing your own articles, spinning them and distributing them via AAS the built in spinner with AAS will suffice. However if you are taking PLR or other articles and trying to rewrite them to be unique via spinning and synonym replacements then TBS would be the solution, it’s article creation is phenomenal. Also if you have a need to spin for other items besides just article distribution via AAS – TBS is the answer. TBS is currently the best spinner on the market, period.
What I would recommend is trying out AAS and seeing how it works for you. Then you can take a 7 day trial of TBS for $7 and try that out and see which works out best for you. Personally we use TBS to spin no matter what we are using for submission built in submitter or not.
I hope this helps,
Mike

Hi Mike,
I’ve been doing some research on AAS and it seems that a lot of people on the warrior forum are having technical problems with the software, and that their support tickets not being replied to.
Do you know if this is a common problem, as I was going to buy it after reading your reviw, and seeing that it was included in the ASR Best of 2010, but now I’m not sure.
Hope you can help,
Howard

Hi Howard, I can’t speak for whether that’s a common problem or not or what others say on forums, I can speak from our experience. We have been using it for quite some time now, and I can’t remember the last time we had to open a support ticket. I do remember that the last time we opened a ticket (when we initially purchased the software) the response was fairly quick (within 24 hrs). We are not experiencing any issues with the software at the moment.
The one item to note is that there is a 60 day return policy. So you could always try it. If you experience issues contact Milan at support@automaticarticlesubmitter.com – if the response is not to your satisfaction you can return it within the 60 day period. That is best way to find out how it will work for you.
Hope that helps,
Mike

Hi,
I’m in the process of buying a submitter, Automatic Article Submitter was my choice.
But I’ve also been reading alot about SENUKE, and from what I’ve read it seems amazing!
I would really like to know what you think of this software, as I was going to buy AAS but this looks a whole lot better

Hi Howard,
We have used SENuke in the past, and have actually been considering wiping the dust off and reviewing it for this site. You are comparing two different things Howard. It really depends on what it is you are trying to accomplish. AAS is an article submitter, plain and simple, it does its job and does it well. It submits to 100’s of directory’s and you can even configure it to submit to your own sites.
SENuke is more of a mass linkbuilding tool – while SENuke does submit to directory’s it only submits to like 12-15 of them if I recall. SENuke does video submission, social bookmarking, and Webs2.0 web page creation. It is an advanced tool, and a powerful tool. If you aren’t careful you can SENuke your site right into over-optimization – and thus nuke yourself. Mass link creation tools such as these are best left to creating backlinks for your feeder sites, not your money sites.
If you are simply looking to submit articles AAS does its job well. If you are looking to use all those other tools that SENuke has then that can work for you as well. They each serve a purpose. Keep in mind AAS is $97 one time, you buy it once, you use it forever, SeNuke carries a monthly of about $127 I believe. But again they serve two separate functions, and if you are just starting out in SEO – SENuke may be too much tool for you at the moment until you get a grasp on what you will be doing with it. Howard, all of these products carry money back guarantees – there is no better way of figuring if things work for you or not then actually trying them out.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the advice, I’m building up a collection of video squeeze pages in the IM niche, and I’m going to use article marketing to get traffic to them first.
Then I was thinking that SeNuke would give me an extra boost for even more traffic, am I thinking along the right lines?
I’m not sure what a feeder site is, could you elaborate please.
P.s I think reviewing SeNuke would be a good idea
Thanks Howard

Topsy, I have no idea, we haven’t needed to contact Milan for a loooong time, so I am unsure of what his turn around time is nowadays. Milan left a comment on this thread in the past maybe he will respond.
Hi again Howard, we are starting to get off topic for this post. A feeder site is a another website you use to funnel traffic to your money site. You can have a boatload of feeder sites all picking up longtail traffic and each feeder will funnel traffic to your money site, article marketing is a form of creating feeder sites as well. Each article you place on an article directory can be a feeder. If 1 article brings you 1 visitor a month then hopefully 100 articles will bring you 100 visitors a month and so and so forth. This is assuming proper keyword research and title usage. This is also powerful for SEO, because you can linkbuild to all your feeders without worrying about hurting your money site.
Thanks,
Mike

If you search over at the Warrior Forum you will see that a lot of people are having the same issue. The lack of support keeps me from recommending this product to others, unfortunately.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT FROM ARTICLE SUBMITTER
It would be nice if someone from the article submitter support desk there would respond to emails when their customers have problems with the tool.
I’ve submitted 5 emails asking for assistance – and have not had 1 response back. Not only that – but the “article ideas” tool that is included – had a trojan virus attached to it that my antivirus picked up – so it won’t work.

When it comes to the “virus” issue: since THIS THURSDAY Kaspersky anti-virus, and the security packages which use their white label AV version (like, ZoneAlarm) detect a trojan in AAS.
This has literally nothing to do with AAS. There is no similar behavior to any trojan, it’s just that Kaspersky took a tiny piece of the code to identify the trojan and that same piece of code can be found in two pieces of the AAS package. Pure coincidence and a mistake on Kasperskyies end.
We’re working with them on fixing the issue. Their update from this Friday fixes the issue on “Article Ideas”, and hopefully, the very next update will not complain about the “Auto Update” piece of the AAS package anymore.
The next task is to make sure that Kaspersky anti-virus fix this issue for good (so that it doesn’t do a false alarm on the next AAS update).
I repeat, this is the issue since last Thursday and we’ve done everything we could to fix it.
I don’t agree with some of the assessments of AAS support here. AAS support isn’t bad, isn’t fast and will be getting better. Honestly, the primary focus on the support is to support the software itself. Personal attention is possible (even via Skype’s screen sharing if needed) but expect a slight delay (48 hours days on average)
When it comes to the very next step on the user support, I proudly announce that there will be some brand new training videos VERY soon (this week for sure). They were recorded by a native speaker, and me sitting by the side. These answer more common questions than previous videos.

Milan Kosanovic

I’d hate to admit this, but the main reason I stayed with AAS is not the great results they give (I’m happy as far as that is concerned too, don’t get me wrong!) but how they make my life easier with their full automation. I’d love to be able to submit manually, but with several deadlines approaching and a lot of other things to do, I just can’t. Good thing AAS takes care of all of it for me!

After fumbling through their interface, I was finally able to get how to make this thing work by trial and error and the videos they provided. You guys are right in saying that AAS is “extremely powerful” but you also forgot to mention that it is extremely convenient and effective as well. They do have to work on simplifying everything though, but once you get past that, you’d appreciate how wonderful this product is!

Hi Mike,
I just need to know one thing about the AAS. After spinning an article, can this spun version be used for the article submission so that each of the directories gets an unique article?
I have seen a video on the Magic Article Submitter which is able to do just that. Does the AAS has this feature?
Thanks

Hi Greg,
Absolutely, that is the whole point of the built in spinner, you send a unique version of your article to each directory automatically. You can also spin out unique versions for yourself in case you want to use them elsewhere. So you get the best of both worlds.
Hope that helps,
Mike

Before AAS, I spent lots of money having my articles submitted by people in India. They did great work, but they sometimes missed deadlines and all that. Everything gets submitted on time every time. An added bonus is that they really use the top sites. Truly a great value for your money!
