Synnd Lite Review
Overview
Great news for all of those that would like to get a peek behind the covers of Synnd… They just reopened their “Lite” program which allows for Free access to Synnd! This will give you an opportunity to dive in and check it out for yourself. Now, this post is not meant to be a full review of Synnd – for that please see our Synnd Pro Review – but rather a look specifically at the Lite version and what you can get access to for FREE.
First of all, a quick thanks to Charles Heflin – a co-creator of Synnd – for his help in assistance to us and thus YOU our readers! In a 45 minute call a week or so ago with Charles we discussed in depth several of the features, best uses and strategies for Synnd and it was very productive. We spent some time giving him some feedback from our uses over the past three or four months with Synnd and some areas that we felt could be improved a bit – specifically with some more guidance on how to implement Synnd for best results. We also talked about the free version and true to his word Charles got us up and going with it so you guys could use it risk free and see for yourself.
Synnd Lite Capabilities
We’re pleased to see that they left most all of the functionality in Synnd Lite, so you’ll truly get to experience the full functionality of the product and see how it works from the inside out. There are a couple of limitations, of course, as you’re getting it for FREE but they don’t really impair your ability to experience the product – call Synnd Lite just a “taste” of what you could have.
The biggest limitation is that you will only get 12 promotions per day to a single domain. In Synnd Pro you’ll receive a full 1500 promotions a month and be able to send them to unlimited domains. But 12 a day is nothing to complain about – that’s 350+ free Tweets or Diggs or other promotions – all for FREE! You won’t be able to purchase additional promotions or earn additional promotions, but again, at over 350 promotions a month that is enough to test the waters.
There are a couple of other minor limitations as well, but nothing that we feel will impede your overall evaluation of the product. You won’t be able to do Blog Commenting, Facebook or Article promotions in this free version but there are tons of other promotion types that you can do. This is a pretty minor limitation really.
Synnd Lite Tips
The main thing here is that you’ve only got 12 promotions a day and so we recommend you put all of those at just a single URL on your site so that you can see some impact. You should select an inner page – not your homepage – and one that has some good quality content with very little or no advertising (within the content of the post – sidebar advertising is fine). This will give you the best results.
Before you start, check the position of your URL in Google but be careful to do it not just within your local browser but with a rank checking software like the free Rank Tracker from SEOBook, or, of course, a much more high quality solution like our favorite SEO PowerSuite’s Rank Tracker. The reason is that if you check your ranks within the Google browser you will likely be served personalized search results and they will be different than what everyone else sees. Your site will likely appear much higher in personalized search results than it actually is.
Now, after you’ve noted your ranking for the test URL and keywords you’re targeting with that post, you’re ready to get your Synnd Lite test underway. Go ahead and do your promotions for a month and monitor your rankings as you go. Keep in mind that Synnd Pro users will have much more “juice” to throw at their sites, so when you’ve got things figured out with the Lite version and see what it and do, make sure and upgrade to the Pro version for some real results.

- Understand Tags Versus Keywords – This is just a quick post, but it’s important to read. Many people confuse the purpose of the ‘tags’ within Synnd and use them inappropriately as keywords. This post will explain proper usage for you for optimal results.
