One of our favorite tools for 2012 is Synnd. The fact is that Social Proof or Social Signals as they are sometimes called are becoming more and more important in today’s full SEO picture. This trend is not going away – in fact, it’s going to become much more important in 2012 than it was in 2011. The Internet is becoming much more social and people feed of that social interaction.
Think about this scenario for a minute. When you go to buy a book or some electronics product on Amazon.com what is the first thing you do? (Okay, the 2nd the thing… I know #1 is that you look at the price – LOL). But seriously, if you’re anything like me you scroll down to the reviews section and look at the user feedback – both the good and the bad. The fact is that other user’s experiences influence us greatly, that is why testimonials work so well in the sales process.

Synnd is currently the best solution out there for getting social attention thrown to your sites. Now, don’t confuse Social Proof with Social Marketing – those are two very different topics. Social Marketing is actually engaging your followers in the social sites like Facebook and “connecting” with them in a way that stimulates strong user engagement and eventually sales. Social Proof, on the other hand, is just about getting some “likes” and “tweets” to your site so that others “see” it as being popular. This is where Synnd factors in. This also, by the way, works with Google SEO.

We’re not saying this should be your only SEO approach or anything so don’t read that out of context. The Complaints Some Have Had
The Pro version requires you to put software on your computer and run a program called the Remote Automator. A lot of people just don’t like the hassle and the fact is it has to be running for you to earn credits in order to use their network. Honestly, we don’t like this version of Synnd either and while it is more affordable, to us, it’s just not worth the hassle. So, yeah, we agree with you guys here. Plus you still have to write your own content and that is time consuming and costly.
The Enterprise version of Synnd is a much better option. Until recently, however, it was very expensive and started at $497 a month. Now, however, they have introduced lower cost plans all the way down to $147 a month. The big advantage of the Enterprise version is that it does not require content – they handle it for you. So it becomes a super easy way to work. You just log in at the beginning of the month and setup your campaigns and you’re done – it does the rest.
So, what’s the problem with Synnd Enterprise? Honestly, not a lot, but many have told us that they just can’t justify a $147 a month payment for Synnd and that they don’t need that many Synnd promotions for their single site. Those same people don’t want to deal with the $97 Pro version because of the other issues mentioned above.
Our Solution
So we decided to step in and create a product around Synnd for you that would solve these issues. We have a huge Enterprise account and tens of thousands of promotions, so we have created packages that are based on the Enterprise model but at just $79 are much more affordable. They still give you the same benefits of Synnd Enterprise – you don’t have to write the content and it’s complete autopilot social linkbuilding for you – but at a reduced volume and price point.
Now, you won’t have full access to Synnd yourself. With hundreds of domains in our Enterprise account, we can’t expose that information to you and provide you login access to our account (obviously). But what we do is give you screen prints showing you that it is configured per your instructions and then we give you monthly reports of the promotions that were executed on your behalf via an Excel report. This way you have confidence that all of the work was performed.
