Our Favorite New Keyword Research Tool
Every now and then something comes along that totally surprises you. Recently we found a little gem of a keyword research tool that fits just that description – Keywords Magnet – a terrific Keyword Snatcher alternative. Now, this is just a quick post today, but we will have a full review of it coming soon on the site.
We have three tools that we use as our bread and butter for keyword research. Yeah, I know, three is a lot… but it’s just that we use different aspects of each – Micro Niche Finder, Market Samurai and a hidden little gem called Keyword Snatcher (no longer being sold).
Micro Niche Finder is a great all around keyword research tool and has many features that we love, such as the ability to generate buy keywords, etc… Market Samurai we use not so much for keyword research as we do for the final selection of keywords based on competitive analysis. The “SEO Analysis” feature of Market Samurai is phenomenal and we primarily use this tool for that ONE feature (it’s that good). Keyword Snatcher has long been a favorite of ours because it finds obscure longtail keywords and ties in with the Google Suggest keywords as well as those from other search engines. The “suggest” keywords are the keywords that pop down in that drop down list as you are typing in a keyword. Those are keywords that Google sees as being most relevant and so using those in your keyword research is a very nice touch – Keyword Snatcher does that.
However, recently we found a hidden little gem in Keywords Magnet. This tool is more affordable than any of the other three we use and for many of you looking for a single keyword tool it will probably meet or exceed your needs. It doesn’t have all of the features of Micro Niche Finder, so ideally, if you have the budget I’d say use them both. But it does offer the same competitive analysis screen and data that Market Samurai offers and it is even better than Keyword Snatcher at finding long tails as well as integration with Google suggestions (as well as those from other search engines). All this and a more affordable price…
Anyway, like I said, we haven’t completed the full review, but look for it in the next couple of weeks. However, if you’re in the market for a keyword research tool now or bummed out that you couldn’t get a hold of Keyword Snatcher when it was being sold, well, then Keywords Magnet may be the perfect little gem for you as well.
