Spin Distribute Review
Overview
This Spin Distribute review has been sitting in draft with no content for quite some time now, so it is with great pleasure that we finally get it released to our readers. SpinDistribute is an article distribution network, which is a cross between an article submitter and a public blog network in our terms. They state on their site that they currently have over 1800 websites in their distribution network. The break out is 55% article directory’s, 30% niche blogs and 15% websites (meaning not blogs). They will also submit your articles to the following 6 top article directories, EZineArticles.com, Articlebase.com, GoArticles.com, ArticleDashboard.com and IdeaMarketers.com as long as you provide your login information. The distribution model is very similar to SubmitYourArticle but the Spin Distribute network appears to be a much larger network and their interface is much easier as well, in fact I don’t believe it could get much simpler if they tried. Additionally SpinDistribute implores a pay as you go pricing model, as opposed to other services such as Submit Your Article and Unique Article Wizard which charge you a monthly fee rain or shine.
Spin Away
Since the word spin is in their name, you probably already guessed this, Spin Distribute allows you to submit spin ready articles, with the following spin syntax [spin1|spin2|spin3]. When you are distributing your articles to hundreds of directory’s and websites, you absolutely want to spin your articles to get as much of a wide distribution, or bang for your buck so to speak, as possible. So the fact that they allow you to spin is an awesome feature, really any article distribution service that does not allow you to spin your article in this day and age should probably be avoided (Content Crooner, cough, cough…… did I say that out loud?). The fact is the more unique versions of your articles you can get out there the better, because while there is no such thing as a duplicate content penalty, there is a such thing as the engines preferring a finite set of the exact same article, so they will push duplicate pages further back in the SERP’s. Additionally many article directories will spot check your article to see if its already been published elsewhere, and once they see many copies of the EXACT SAME article out on the web, they will reject your article.
The part I enjoy the most about SpinDistribute is that they allow you to simply copy and paste a spin ready article into their interface. If you are buying or writing your own spun content this is a must, we hate that services like UAW and SYA make you run through the steps of pasting in separate paragraphs and rewriting separate paragraphs, and doing it again to finally get your article submitted. It is so much simpler to do all this in one text document and then simply paste it in to the form – done.
For quality spinning work, we recommend that you manually spin 2 to 4 versions of each sentence and then run it through The Best Spinner for all of the synonym replacement work. While this approach is a lot of work, the results are very good and produce much more unique and readable content. The search engines are not dumb and are not so easily fooled by simple synonym replacement alone. Another great way to improve your spinning results is to create optional sentences and even paragraphs as well. This gives even more diverse content results.
The Structure
So, we had a bunch of articles created with 5 versions of each title [title1|title2|title3|title4|title5] and 2-3 versions of each sentence and/or synonyms. We took the articles, pasted them into the interface, we selected whether we wanted to distribute the articles as spun or the same version to all sites, we chose spun (remember they are a pay as you go service – there is a price difference for spun versus not spun – more later), we selected our distribution time for our articles, anywhere from 4 days to 50 days are our options. We selected the default of 10 days for all of our articles. Next we selected our category and then we created our resource boxes with spun variations as well. After doing the above steps you enter your keywords and then hit a button to distribute your articles. That is it – done. Very simple. Now once you hit the button you will have to pay for your distribution. They operate with credits, to distribute 1 spun article it will cost you 4 credits, to distribute a non spun article it is 2 credits. Credits can cost you $5 for 5 or $100 for 80 – the more you buy the bigger the discount. if you purchase the 80 credit package, distributing one spun article will cost you $3.20 – Depending how many articles you distribute a month – this may be a significant cost savings over a service such as SYA or UAW. This will obviously depend on just how many websites you have and how many articles a month you need to distribute. If you are a regular reader of this blog and our reviews you already know that we never look at one service as a substitution for another, but simply as further diversity. Our motto is always the more sites we can get our articles out on the better. So as always, this is yet another form of site and backlink diversity for us.
Other Features
Spin Distribute does have some nice features that deserve mention. First, the price, the pay as you go model is a very handy feature, because anyone can simply sign-up and use it any time they wish without worrying about the monthly fees. Additionally Spin Distribute offers what they call a complete service, which is, for $89 they will write 10 spin ready articles for you and distribute them, that’s $8.90 per article AND that includes them being distributed – that is an amazing price. We own a SEO and content writing business, so we did not purchase this service because we have plenty of writers on staff, however we do know that for $89 that is a steal, if you are using a service such as UAW and you buy $10 articles a month plus you pay the $67 a month fee how much money do you spend a month total? I am sure it is a lot more than the $89 you get charged here. Another important item to note is that they offer you a very detailed status report in your article distribution, what sites they have been distributed too and what percentage has been sent.
The Results
Truthfully, we didn’t put SpinDistribute through a thorough test for backlinks and ranking changes, because really we don’t see it as providing a boost all by itself, nor do we expect it to – it helps, it all helps, but alone don’t expect much. These types of services are very good for getting you great diversification on your backlinks and a wide distribution, but they will never propel you to the top of the rankings by themselves unless you are in an extremely uncompetitive niche. To accomplish this you need a sustained campaign on many fronts, and Spin Distribute would simply be one piece of the equation. We noticed dozens of the articles having been indexed already and we expect many more to come in over time – article distributions are the gift that keeps on giving. However, we will continue to monitor the results and if their are any anomalies we will quickly report back. Another item to note, we take 1 spun article and submit it to MAN, UAW, SLV, AR and SpinDistribute for maximum ROI with our distributions, so knowing exactly which site is responsible for which distribution is difficult unless we specifically use 1 articles and test it through 1 service – which we are actually doing right now and will report back you very shortly on the distribution status.
What We Didn’t Like About Spin Distribute
Not much, we really did like most things, however there were a couple things that were a minor annoyance. When we submitted our articles we waited about 24 hours for support to review them, they then rejected our articles saying that they recommended we redo our resource boxes a certain way. The email stated if we wanted to keep it the way it was to reply back and they would approve. Well I replied stating the resource boxes were the way I wanted them, and was told another 24 hours later I had to re-enter the articles. They should allow you to go back into the system and hit a submit button, or a release button, or edit button or something. Making users reenter their work each time stinks. Another item we didn’t like was that we could not schedule our articles. With other services we will load up a couple months of articles and schedule them out. With Spin Distribute, you can select the rate at which they are distributed, but you cant pick what date the distribution will begin. And one final piece that was annoying, if you make an error during article entry, they will error out and you have to start all over, it doesn’t simply point out your error and allow you to fix it. You have to start all over, so make sure you have your article and resource box saved in notepad and paste it in, otherwise you will lose your work if you take a step they don’t like. In my case I added 3 links to my resource box, because their tip says they recommend using 2-3 links in resource box, well i received an error that I had too many hyperlinks in my resource box, and had to start from scratch.
One other “less than desirable” feature/issue is that they use their own spin syntax. It’s not a major ordeal, but it does require you to do a search and replace and fix up the syntax prior to use. We would prefer they use a standard format instead.
Pricing
As stated previously, Sprin Distribute is extremely affordable for people without large distribution requirements. They operate on a pay as you go model via credits. Credits can cost you from $5 for 5 credits, to $80 for 100 credits. distributing one spun article will cost you 4 credits. So you do the math depending on how many articles you would like to distribute.
