Synnd Update – Lots of New Networks Supported
One of our favorite tools right now (since the Panda update) is Synnd. Social proof has become very important to good rankings for your site – Google wants to see signs of life in the social arena and Synnd does just that for you.
In just the past few days Synnd has released a bunch of new updates and additional sites in their ever growing social media network. But more on that in just a bit…
If you think that social proof is just a bunch of marketing noise, consider for a minute all of the effort Google has put into this front lately. Google, as you should know, has developed their own entire network around social feedback – Google +1. So yes, this is important guys and you need to be doing something on the social front. Personally we don’t worry a lot about all of the various networks, but just concentrate on the big ones – Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Stumble (and now looks like we’ll have to start looking at Google +1 as well).

Synnd Comes in Many Flavors
Synnd come in several flavors and price points – so there’s something for everyone here:
- Synnd Lite – This is a basic low volume version great for those of you who don’t need a lot and only have one site and just want to try it out.
- Synnd Pro – This is their standard and most popular version. You do the writing and you run some software on your own system. It’s very functional and good but quite a bit more work than our favorite version… (below)
- Synnd Enterprise – This is their flagship product and it is what we use. With Synnd Enterprise it is a completely automated and hands off solution requiring no content writing or software on your part. Simply queue up the URLS you want to target, set the number of promotions you want and let ‘er roll. By now you should know we love automation and this is by far our recommended route if you have a few sites and it is cost justified for you. This is ideal for people that have several sites or are perhaps doing their own SEO for clients, etc…
Now, as you can see above, they really have thought this through well and have a version targeting all price points and user needs. You can get started with the low end product, test it out and progress through the more automated Enterprise version if you like.

Recently they started up webinar presentations on Synnd and those that have attended have given us very good feedback. The webinar will guide you through how Synnd is applicable and can help your social marketing efforts and detail how it works. Recent Updates to Synnd
Okay, enough already – let’s get to the updates! Awhile back now Synnd made it’s most significant update – the support for Facebook “likes”. This was something they had been working on for quite some time and it has now been available for a couple of months or so.

- ETA August 17th – Google +1 – We did some rigorous testing and discovered that Google does favor +1 action on pages and ranks them higher.

Interesting update. I was wondering: can you set up a campaign for just Twitter… or just Facebook?
From their demo videos it appears you have to select a “social bookmark module”, which probably goes to a bunch of bookmarks.
You mentioned in your post you only focus on Twitter, Facebook, etc. Does this mean you only use Synnd with those services?
Let’s say you launch a new site with 100 pages, and you’d like to use Synnd to tweet and/or Like each page 10 times. Is this possible? Or do you have to pay for the other sites as well?
