Sometimes little things just really surprise you and Wow, this one was a shocker. We started compiling a PDF of the best posts as a digital download product and were amazed at just how much content we’ve put up here the past few months. This is only some of the posts and is 111 pages of great content.

So What is The Best of ASR volume 1?

We wanted to take some of the best blog posts on the site here and repackage them as a digital download. This is a terrific resource for those new to the site or those that want to skip back to previous posts and take notes, etc. Personally I’m about as high tech as they come and yet I detest reading online. I will always print out the post and then read it with a cup of coffee (strong Brazilian coffee) by by side. And when it comes to learning something new, I much prefer this method because I can jot things down as I think about them and make notations to follow up on, etc.

The problem with this is that most blogs (ours included) make it hard to print out with any degree of quality or control. Images get formatted incorrectly, you get dozens of extra pages of sidebar components and comments, and it just becomes a mess. Typically I end up copy/pasting the content from a blog into Word, quickly changing the font to a more readable one and printing from there. A hassle to say the least and still less than ideal output.

Furthermore, blogs have this bad tendency of making it hard to find older content. The way things scroll off the main page and due to the shear volume of posts, some really good stuff gets “lost” in the shuffle. Now, don’t tell me about the missing search on our site – we know and we’re fixing it. That *certainly* doesn’t help matters, I know.

Lastly, this is high quality content that you will likely reference many times and having it in printed format at your disposal should make your life a bit easier. When I find a good quality eBook that I like, I will take it to a local printer and have it printed in color and bound for a desktop reference. This is all setup for that.

So this product assembles all of the best posts into one quality formatted and easy to read and/or print eBook. There is some great value in these posts and we really weren’t sure we wanted to make this available in this format, but in the end we believe that it will provide more options for more people. As the title implies, this is “Volume 1″ and as we release more and more blog posts we’ll release a “Volume 2″ as well.

While it’s not free, it’s only $17 and is almost free at that price. I mean most people will spend more than that on coffee in a month and if you’re headed to Starbucks well you’re certainly spending more! This is especially good for those getting started in Internet Marketing that will want a document to refer back to.
